MyRepublic has joined the growing number of telcos offering gigabit NBN plans with the launch of its own 1000Mbps offering.
Priced at $99 per month for your first six months, MyRepublic is offering the cheapest NBN 1000 plan from any major provider. At full price, you'll still only pay $129 per month. For comparison, Aussie Broadband and Superloop's promotional offers start at $119 per month and $119.95 per month for your first six months, respectively, and then rise to $149 per month and $139 per month.
While MyRepublic's plan is cheaper than the alternatives, it still reports typical evening speeds of 250Mbps. That's the fastest evening speed guidance we've seen on an NBN 1000 plan so far.
NBN 1000 plans are only available for a select group of NBN customers: all Fibre to the Premise (FTTP) connections, and 7% of HFC connections. This represents roughly 32% of the customers currently able to connect to the NBN.
